Founded in Tehran in 1978, Abbasi Harp started manufacturing national instruments like Sintur (dulcimer), Sitar and Tar. The passion for making handmade instruments namely Tar was the start of a major movement. It was my covenant which set the stage for decade after decade of a pioneer innovation in engineering and craftsmanship of pedal harp with a unique mechanism.
The Harp, this Iranian ancient musical instrument, was sparkled in my mind to revive it by making lever harp. We made it with half tone key and in full compliance to all international standards. Use of the latest technology enabled us to build pedal harp with high quality materials and sweet sound never falling back on sacrificing quality for the sake of cost. Now and after 40 years of experience we started to have cooperation with other parts of the world in the form of finished pedal and lever harps or spare parts.
The sorting process of the woods used for Abbasi Harps begins with the finest choice of the strength, resilience and reach resonance of Sitka Spruce and Maple. Sitka Spruce not only has one of the highest strength-to-weight ratios of any wood but also is responsive to the most subtle vibrations of sound.
At last Abbasi Harps prouds of its ability to meet and satisfy the needs of the harpists and musicians and that has been able to see the satisfaction smile on their faces.
